Zalgiris dominates Siauliai in Game 3 15
It was a special day for Paulius Jankunas and the whole Zalgiris Kaunas organization, as the team captain potentially played his last game in Kaunas where the Greens defeated Siauliai, 85-70 (24-15, 27-20, 14-18, 20-17).
Game 3 may be the last home match of Paulius Jankunas’ career.
The 38-year-old captain has already announced that he will end his playing career after this season, and if Zalgiris win Game 4 in Siauliai, the series will not return to Kaunas.
On such occasion, all of Zalgiris’ players wore jerseys with the name of Jankunas on the back, moreover, there was a pre-game tribute ceremony and the floor at Zalgirio Arena had some distinct features.
Paulius Jankunas finished tonight’s game with 4 points (1/2 2PT, 2/3 FT), 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 2 blocks, and 12 PIR.
