A 13-point lead goes to waste against ASVEL at home 48
Zalgiris Kaunas led for most of the game, but in the end lost to ASVEL Villeurbanne 88-91 in EuroLeague Round 6 game at Zalgirio Arena.
After playing little defense for three quarters, ASVEL limited the home side to 8 points in the final 10 minutes and came up with just enough offense to scratch out the road win and improve to 1-5 Zalgiris has dropped to 3-3 in the league.
Zalgiris saw Tomas Dimsa tie his career highs with 5 three-pointers and 21 points while Keenan Evans delivered 19 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists in the loss.
Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot scored 19 points with 6 rebounds off the bench to pace five ASVEL scorers in double figures. Youssoupha Fall had 15 points, Joffrey Lauvergne and Nando De Colo both scored 13 points and Mike Scott pitched in 12 points.
