Zalgiris’ festive greeting: Christmas Eve and Christmas traditions 1

Zalgiris Kaunas congratulates its fans on the most beautiful holidays of the year, and the Zalgiris TV creative team presents this season’s festive episode.

In this cheerful video, the action takes place in the Sala restaurant at Zalgirio Arena, where three Zalgiris players – Kevarrius Hayes, Keenan Evans and Arnas Butkevicius – are joined by the show’s presenter Egle Jurgaityte.

The aforementioned players were given the opportunity to be the stars of the festive episode, to sit at the table and try the traditional dishes that are served on Lithuanian tables on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

When tasting the various dishes, the opinions of Zalgiris Americans were radically different – what Evans liked, Hayes didn’t, or vice versa.

“Taste is much better than smell. It smells like glue to me,” Evans joked before tasting the poppy seed.
