Zalgiris has no problems in Pasvalys 0

Zalgiris Kaunas (15-2) took home another victory in the Lithuanian Championship. In the 17th round of Betsafe-LKL, Andrea Trinchieri’s team defeated Pieno zvaigzdes Pasvalys (5-12) on the road 98-71 (22-22, 25-19, 29-16, 22-14).

Arna Butkevicius scored five points, Laurynas Birutis made a lay-up, and Brady Manek, Keenan Evans and Dovydas Giedraitis each hit a three-pointer to make it 16-6. Edgaras Ulanovas, Lukas Lekavicius and Giedraitis scored two points each in the remaining five minutes, but the score was tied again at 22-22.

Lekavicius scored five points, Danielius Lavrinovicius got inside, and.Giedraitis added seven points, 36-28. Kevarrius Hayes and Manek each made a basket, while Giedraitis and Rolands Smits scored on free throws, and Lekavicius tallied four points before the break to make it 47-41.

Birutis dunked it home, Manek and Giedraitis scored under basket, Butkevicius made a long-range shot, and Evans and Ulanovas hit a free throw each, 60-46. Giedraitis and Smits connected from the free-throw line, Birutis scored four points, and Lekavicius added seven more points to his team’s account, 76-57.

Hayes scored four points, Lekavicius made a raid to the free throw line and Tomas Dimsa made two threes and two free throws, 90-64. Two more free throws were made by Giedraitis, four in a row were added by Dimsa, and the victory was sealed by Manek, who made no mistakes at the free throw line, 98-71.

Lekavicius was leading scorer for Zalgiris with 20 points. Giedraitis added 19, and Dimsa had 12 points.
