Zalgiris falls to Real in the last EuroLeague game of the season 12
Zalgiris Kaunas (14-20) ended their EuroLeague season with a game in Zalgirio Arena. Andrea Trinchieri’s team lost 62-64 (9-16, 16-15, 17-13, 20-20) to Real Madrid (27-7).
The regular-season finale seemed headed for overtime after Kevarrius Hayes tied it with just his second three of the season with 7.9 seconds left, but the champs found a way to win through Gabriel Deck’s shot and improve to 27-7 without needing overtime.
Dzanan Musa paced Los Blancos with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Mario Hezonja added 16 points for the winners.
Zalgiris 14 points apiece from Brady Manek and Keenan Evans in its final game of the season.
