Zalgiris wins first friendly game of the season 0

Zalgiris has started the marathon of preseason games with a victory. Kaunas men won 85:81 against Ukrainian champions Azovmash Mariupol in Klaipeda.

The team from Kaunas has moved west to the seaside of Lithuania for the training camp and looked a bit rusty in the first game.

Zalgiris led by 1 point after first (19:18) and second (42:41) quarters, but managed to make a run in the third after which they were in front 63:56. In the last 10 minutes Dainius Salenga scored 10 points to secure victory for Lithuanian team with the final score 85:81.
