Cukinas out for the season 0
Zalgiris’ back up center Povilas Cukinas will be sidelined for the remainder of the season. The Lithuanian player got injured during a team training, but the severity of the injury was not immediately determined.
Cukinas missed Sundays VTB United League game against CSKA in Kaunas. On Monday the player received a cruel verdict, as he was diagnosed a torn knee ligament and a ruptured meniscus.
An operation will take place shortly, while the rehab is expected to last for at least six months. Cukinas was averaging 6,4 points and 3,4 rebounds in Lithuanian League (LKL) games and 5,6 points and 3,4 boards in the Baltic Basketball League (BBL).
