Zalgiris wins by 64 points in LKL 0
Zalgiris eased past another opponent in the Lithuanian league (LKL) with a 115:51 (34:9, 25:15, 32:11, 24:16) demolition of Techasas Panevezys at home in Kaunas on Wednesday.
DeJuan Collins finished the game with only five points, but still ended up being the star of the night as the American got into double-digits both in assists and rebounds. The point guard grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 12 dimes to his teammates.
Tadas Klimavicius scored 15 points and grabbed 10 board as Martynas Pocius also finished the game with 15 and Arturas Milaknis dropped in 13 of his own. Dainius Salenga had 11 points of his own, Mindaugas Kuzminskas scored 10 while Marcus Brown and Tomas Delininkaitis collected 9 each.
Techasas didn’t show much of a fight managing to collect team ranking of 21 with all of the player combined. Vaidotas Volkus was the key figure in the Panevezys’ side with 16 points and 8 rebounds while Tomas Rinkevicius finished with 8 points.
Zalgiris began the game with a 24:1 run knocking the opponents out already in the first quarter. The first Techasas field goal was met with applause from Zalgiris fans in the Kaunas Sports Hall.
The distance between the team kept growing before climbing over the sixty-point mark at 106:43 in the beginning of the last quarter.
