Zalgiris smashes Lietuvos rytas at home 0
Zalgiris became the only unbeaten team in Lithuanian league (LKL), as it smashed Lietuvos rytas 85:60 on Sunday night in Sporto hale.
Zalgiris used a 16:3 run bridging first and second quarters and built a 30:14 lead.
In the middle of third quarter Dainius Salenga scored a two pointer with a foul and Zalgiris lead was 56:25. The rest of the game was just a formality.
“Zalgiris absolutely deserved the victory. They were simply better in all main things, they were more determined”, Lietuvos rytas’ coach Aleksandr Trifunovic said after game.
It was eighth Zalgiris win in Lithuanian league, while Lietuvos rytas dropped to 5-1.
Martynas Pocius had 13 points for Zalgiris, Tomas Delininkaitis added 11.
Jonas Valanciunas led Lietuvos rytas with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Sarunas Jasikevicius had 10 points and 5 assists.
