The Greens torch Kalev in fourth quarter 0
A strong fourth quarter allowed Zalgiris to turn on the cruise mode in the VTB United League game against Kalev on the road in Tallinn in a game which saw the Lithuanian club routing the bottom-of-the-table hosts 91-66 (20-16, 19-18, 20-18, 29-10).
Travis Watson led Zalgiris in scoring with 17 points, Marcus Brown showed signs of life after a very poor start of the season finishing the game with 16 as Tadas Klimavicius and Paulius Jankunas collected 12 each.
The team’s rookie big man Trent Plaisted had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds, DeJuan Collins scored 9 while Martynas Pocius and Tomas Delininkaitis both added 5 points.
Rait Keerles’ 16-point effort wasn’t enough to keep Kalev in the game for much longer than three quarters, despite getting notable back-up from Reimo Tamm, who finished with 15 points, and Gert Dorbek, who had 12.
