Zouros gets the Greek NT job 0
Zalgiris head coach Ilias Zouros will have another job in addition to being the sideline general in Kaunas. The well-respected specialist agreed to a two-year deal with the Greek national team, where he will take the reins from Lithuanian coach Jonas Kazlauskas, who had to leave after an unsuccessful World Championship campaign.
Zouros discussed the details of the contract during Zalgiris trip to Piraeus for a Euroleague game against Olympiacos and put his signature under a two-year contract. The Greek will coach his country’s national team in EuroBasket 2011 in Lithuania and also in the 2012 Olympics in London if the Greeks manage to make it.
The Greeks will play in Group C of EuroBasket 2011 in Alytus together with the national teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Croatia, Montenegro and a team from the qualifying tournament.
