Zalgiris start BBL playoffs downing Nevezis 0
Zalgiris started the Baltic Basketball League (BBL) playoffs with a 104-70 (24-19, 24-18, 27-18, 29-15) victory over Nevezis at home in Kaunas to take a 1-0 lead in the series, which will now move to Kedainiai.
The Greens from Kaunas played without Marcus Brown and Travis Watson, while Nevezis was missing the Latvian forward Ernests Kalve.
Tadas Klimavicius was the top-scorer for Zalgiris with 21 points and 9 rebounds, Paulius Jankunas added 19 points and 8 rebounds while Martynas Pocius and Mindaugas Kuzminskas had 14 and 13 points respectively.
Egidijus Dimsa scored 16 points and grabbed 8 boards for Nevezis, Laurynas Mikalauskas had 12 points as Rolandas Alijevas finished the game with 10 points and 8 assists.
