Sabonis to be introduced into Hall of Fame 0
Arvydas Sabonis, probably the best Lithuanian to ever play basketball, will be introduced into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The big man from Kaunas was named in the class of 2011, which include players such as Dennis Rodman, Chris Mullen and Artis Gilmore.
The tall Lithuanian was introduced to be a member of the FIBA Hall of Fame less than a year ago during the World Championship in Turkey.
Sabonis joined his only NBA team the Portland Trail Blazers at the age of 31 after multiple injuries, which had taken the speed and agility the player once, had. In 2004 the player returned to Europe and after a season with Zalgiris Kaunas, in which he won the Lithuanian title for the first time and was very close from the Euroleague Final Four, Sabonis retired.
