Zalgiris beats Juventus in Utena 0

Zalgiris Kaunas won one more game in Lithuanian League (LKL) on Sunday. This time Zalgiris travelled to Utena, where they have defeated Juventus 75-56. It was fourth victory by Kaunas team in five games. Juventus has 3 wins and 6 losses.

The hosts took the early lead with 15-12 at the end on first quarter. But then Zalgiris had a 19-12 second period charge to retake the initiative (31-27).

Arturas Milaknis scored 8 points in the third quarter (50-43). Captain Paulius Jankunas dominated in the fourth and Juventus was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 56-75.

Jankunas orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. The center Ksistof Lavrinovic contributed with 13 points for the winners.
