Zalgiris picks up premier win of the pre-season 0

Zalgiris Kaunas picked up big win in the first preseason game on Wednesday. The team of coach Sarunas Jasikevicius crushed a fellow Lithuanian side Siauliai 95-60 on home floor.

Zalgiris opened a double-digit lead in the first quarter behind big man Brandon Davies and couple of three-pointers by Arturas Milaknis – 28-18.

Then Martinas Geben scored 9 points in the second quarter to help open 56-32 halftime lead. Zalgiris continued to increase the margin after the break as well, cruising to a big win.

Davies scored 16 points in 14 minutes, while Milaknis, Thomas Walkup and Marius Grigonis scored 12 apiece.

Evaldas Saulys was the only scorer in double digits for Siauliai with 13 points.
