Zalgiris claims victory over Rytas with a big run 37
A 22-0 run in the fourth quarter saw the defending Betsafe LKL champions Zalgiris maintain a perfect record with a 76-69 road victory against Rytas in Vilnius on Sunday.
Nate Wolters scored the first 10 points of the game and Zalgiris led 16-5 early on. It was 23-16 after 10 minutes, but then Rytas managed to get in front 41-42 at halftime.
The hosts ran away in the third quarter after making 4 consecutive three-pointers to lead 52-63 with 10 minutes to go.
The Kaunas side trailed 54-68 early in the final period, but went on a game-winning run with some lock-down defense.
Wolters scored a team-high 20 points for the winners, Marius Grigonis collected 12 points, while Brandon Davies chipped in with 10 points and 5 rebounds.
D.J. Seeley was the only Rytas player in double figures with 22 points and 6 rebounds, with Dominique Sutton and Margiris Normantas adding 8 and 7 points.
