Grigonis erupts for 25, as Zalgiris eases past Dzukija 4

Marius Grigonis erupted for 25 points to lead Zalgiris to a convincing 94-65 victory against Dzukija, as the Kaunas club climbed to a 9-1 record in the Betsafe LKL standings.

The Sarunas Jasikevicius-coached side broke away to a double-digit lead already in the first quarter and outscored the home side in the remaining three quarters as well to come away with a 29-point win in Alytus.

Having converted 8-of-12 shots for a game-high 25 points, Grigonis also added 7 rebounds and 3 steals, Derrick Walton Jr. scored 12 points, while Brandon Davies and Thomas Walkup chipped in with 10 points and 5 rebounds apiece.

Meanwhile, Dominykas Domarkas was the top scorer for Dzukija with 14 points, with Matas Jogela and Paulius Petrilevicius adding 11 and 9 points, respectively.

The defeat saw the Alytus side drop to a 4-6 record, which puts them in a four-way tie for fifth place with Juventus, Pieno Zvaigzdes and Skycop.
