#TimeOutZalgiris tests Turkish fans’ knowledge 0

Wednesday evening drew fans to the Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul, where local Darussafaka took on the green-and-white visitors from Kaunas. After a scrappy duel, Zalgiris managed to come out on top and earn their sixth win in the EuroLeague.

Zalgiris TV and #TimeOutZalgiris also made their way to Turkey and Dalia Belickaite was there to talk to the local and visiting fans, who had nothing but praise for Zalgiris and their head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius.

“Zalgiris is a team with a great history. I know that the atmosphere in Kaunas is always great, I watched some games on TV! We love watching Zalgiris play and Sarunas Jasikevicius is another reason for that.”

“He has a lot of passion for basketball. I think that Jasikevicius learned a lot from Zeljko Obradovic. Obviously, we like Obradovic, because he’s the coach of Fenerbahce. He’s not quite there yet, but I think Sarunas will be the next Obradovic.”

Belickaite also bumped into a small group of Lithuanian fans, who traveled to Turkey with Zalgiris.
