Micic reminisces Zalgiris, Saras in an exclusive interview 1
During the offseason, former Zalgiris man Vasilije Micic joined Anadolu Efes in Istanbul and has been showcasing the best basketball of his career. As he made a EuroLeague game day pitstop in Kaunas, the 25-year-old joined up with Zalgiris TV for an exclusive interview.
Micic, who’s playing the best season of his career so far, has impacted his team’s results heavily. An 11.9 points and 5.4 assists per game average has led Anadolu Efes to a 4th-best, 12-6, record in the EuroLeague and Micic earned the league’s November MVP honors. The former green has also impressed with his touch from outside, converting on 46% of his long-range looks.
Once the conversation turned to Zalgiris, Micic was quick to praise the team’s play, but acknowledged that the biggest burden for the team has been injury troubles.
“Saras is missing the guys who know his system. For him it’s very important for the players to know his system. In my opinion, Saras has something unique about himself. He will go through these moments, because he’s so dedicated to basketball. I’m not worried about it.”
