Double festivities in Zalgirio Arena’s double EuroLeague week 0
A double EuroLeague week is heading to Kaunas for two games on the 19th and 21st of November. It will be the first time in league history that two regular season games in a week will be played on the same home court.
Zalgiris will take on Panathinaikos on Tuesday, the 19th, and as it will be the eve of the World Children’s Day, expect plenty of surprises and ways for the children to participate. Besides, one of them will have the special honor of tipping off a symbolic jump ball untraditionally early – at 19:30.
There will be plenty of entertainment to go around, so we invite to bring your little ones to the game. As always, the family entertainment and creativity park Childhood City will be there waiting in Zalgirio Arena, too.
Just two days later, we will head back to the arena for another EuroLeague battle, this time against the fearless Crvena Zvezda squad. Zalgiris will honor the Lithuanian troops, who will be celebrating the Lithuanian Military Day on the 23rd of November, with special uniforms and a huge Lithuanian flag in the stands.
A special atmosphere will fill the hallways of Zalgirio Arena, too, as you’ll have the opportunity to listen to the Lithuanian Air Force orchestra, try out military gear or get to see a demining robot.
As we celebrate the upcoming festivity, fans will have a unique challenge during halftime of the game, as a special imitational obstacle course will be there for you to try out. Volunteers willing to try their hand at the relay race should register until the 18th of November by email – press@zalgiris.lt.
