Zalgiris to honor Lithuanian troops and firefighters 0

On the 21st of November Zalgiris will play it’s EuroLeague Round 10 game against Crvena Zvezda. It will be a special chance to honor the people who serve for the security of Lithuania, as we mark Lithuanian Armed Forces Day together with our troops. Zalgiris will also invite more than 200 firefighters from Alytus, Marijampole, Prienai and Kaunas.

In a huge fire, which happened last month, numerous firefighting brigades put their health on the line for 10 days to make sure the disaster is taken care of.

The Lithuanian champions together with its partner Kautra will bring 4 buses with 164 firefighters from Alytus, Marijampole and Prienai, while 60 others will join from Kaunas.

The special night will see a huge Lithuanian flag rise in the stands, while Zalgiris players will play in special commemorative uniforms. The Zalgirio Arena hallways will be filled with the music of Lithuanian Air Forces orchestra, numerous different attractions and an exposition of the VDU War Museum.
