Information on additional health security measures during EuroLeague game against AX Armani Milan 60
In reaction to the spreading of the coronavirus in Europe, Zalgiris has taken decisions to ensure the safety of the spectators during the game EuroLeague Round 26 match-up between Zalgiris Kaunas and AX Armani Exchange Milan on the 28th of February, 2020.
In regard to an extreme situation being announced country-wide in Lithuania, and seeking to stop the spread of the virus, Italian basketball fans are asked not to attend the aforementioned game. Fans who were looking to buy the tickets directly through AX Armani have already been informed about this request.
Fans who have visited China or Northern Italy recently, including Lombardy, Venetia, Piedmont and Emilia-Romagna, are asked to be conscious and restrain from visiting public places, including Zalgiris games. The club retains the right to take any measures to ensure prevention of the disease and retaining order, including not allowing a person to the arena if there are any doubts about the health or safety of the visitor.
Fans who are feeling unwell, have an increased body temperature, are sneezing or coughing, are pressingly asked to stay at home to preserve their own health and the health of others around them.
Zalgiris urges to pay attention to the World Health Organization recommendations and tips. To ensure safety from the virus, you should wash your hands more often, not to touch the face with the hands, cover the coughing with a handkerchief, cloth or elbow, and keep your distance from people who are coughing or sneezing, avoid close contact. If you feel unwell, you are recommended to stay at home.
According to the recommendations, additional spots to disinfect your hands will be installed in Zalgirio Arena near the entrances and strategic locations. You will also have the possibility to wash your hands with soap in the bathrooms. Disinfection of other surfaces, such as door handles, stair railings, will also be increased.
According to the Ministry of Health, the coronavirus can be passed on from person to person. The virus spreads through air, with sneezing, coughing or breathing out. While people usually are contagious only when the symptoms are visible, it is presumed that some people might be able to pass the virus before the onset of the symptoms.
Visitors are asked to take into account possible symptoms – fever, coughing, lack of breath and other breathing issues, muscle pains or increased fatigue. If you have any of these symptoms, you are recommended to restrain from interacting with surrounding people and to contact the helpline 112.
The decision to come to Zalgirio Arena and watch the game is any person’s independent decision, and Zalgiris Kaunas does not take any responsibility for the health of the guests of the arena.
In prevention, we ask you to take extra precautions, and the main hygiene and respiratory etiquette requirements.
- Wash your hands often and thoroughly with water and soap for at least 20 seconds. If there is no water and soap, hands can be disinfected with an alcohol-based antiseptic with at least 60% alcohol. The virus can enter the organism through the eyes, nose and mouth, so do not touch your face with unwashed hands;
- Cover your face with a handkerchief or a bent elbow when coughing or sneezing;
- Avoid touching commonly used surfaces as much as possible;
