Zalgiris’ lock-down defense limits Kedainiai to 47 points 4
Zalgiris went on the road to snag a 78-47 victory in Kedainiai, as they bounced back from a loss in the Betsafe-LKL. The green-and-whites had Nevezis’ offense on lock-down in the second half, as they allowed just 15 points in the second half.
While the two teams were going neck to neck in the opening quarter, Zalgiris managed to get the upper hand in the second one. At halftime, the green-and-whites held the advantage, 45-32.
Defense dominated the second half, as Zalgiris’ locked down Nevezis, limiting then to just 15 points. While Zalgiris’ offense wasn’t firing at all cylinders, they managed to grow their lead, finishing strong with a Rokas Jokubaitis jam.
Zalgiris had a well-rounded scoring display from its players, as Karolis Lukosiunas led the team with 11 points. Rokas Jokubaitis added 10, while Martinas Geben and Augustine Rubit added 9 points apiece.
