Augustine Rubit set to leave Zalgiris 2

Zalgiris will be saying their farewells to big man Augustine Rubit, who spent the 2020-2021 season in Kaunas.

Having signed the 31-year-old to a 1+1 contract last year, the club decided to use their right to end the agreement early.

Rubit played 31 games in the EuroLeague this season, averaging 19 minutes a game for a statistical line of 8.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 9.4 efficiency. His stats in the Lithuanian basketball league was 7.4 points, 2.9 rebounds for an efficiency of 8.6.

This summer Zalgiris welcomed the additions of Edgaras Ulanovas, Josh Nebo, Mantas Kalnietis, Niels Giffey and Tyler Cavanaugh, as they extended the contract of Lukas Lekavicius. Meanwhile, Thomas Walkup, Nigel Hayes, Marius Grigonis, Rokas Jokubaitis and Patricio Garino have already left the team.
