Zalgiris is looking to take on ALBA Berlin in a EuroLeague battle this Friday, and it will be a chance for Niels Giffey to face the team he’s played 7 years for. The upcoming matchup became a great chance for a surprise from Niels’ best friend Leon.

Niels and Leon played together for the ALBA youth team and later on studied in Connecticut University in USA. The two became best friends there and have remained close until this day.

With the upcoming game, Leon decided to surprise Niels and contacted the Zalgiris organization with a request to ask Niels a question: whether he’d accept to officiate Leon’s and his future wife’s wedding.
