Zalgiris pens long-term deal with Liutauras Lelevicius 4
Paying a great deal of attention to the development of young prospects, Zalgiris has committed to an agreement with one of the top talents of his year, Liutauras Lelevicius.
The 18-year-old put his signature to a new long-term deal and will continue finding his way in the Zalgiris system.
The do-it-all player is currently playing in the NKL, averaging 12.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists for Zalgiris-2.
Having gone through the ranks of the Zalgiris youth system, playing for the Zalgiris academy, then captaining Zalgiris-3 before moving to Zalgiris-2, Lelevicius has shown constant improvement and received invitations to practice with the main team as well.
“The long-term contract became sort of a valuation of my hard work, and I’m really glad about it. I’m from Kaunas, I feel like I improve each year, so it’s nice to have the opportunity to stay here. Young players are given fantastic conditions, so all that’s left is to put in the work and improve,” – noted Lelevicius.
