Zalgiris defeats Jonava at home 1
Joffrey Lauvergne poured in 21 points in 13 minutes, paving Zalgiris Kaunas’ way to their 22nd LKL win this season, this time against visiting CBet Jonava by 93-70 (28-23, 24-20, 19-19, 22-8).
Jure Zdovc’s team remained at the top of the LKL with just one defeat (22-1).
Lauvergne started the game in dominant fashion scoring 13 points in the first quarter for 28-23 lead. He added 8 more points in the second period and sat down for good, as the Lithuanian champs went to the locker room with 9-point lead (52-43).
CBet got close in the third quarter, and at one point was down only by one possession, but Zalgiris quickly turned another gear and margin widened during the 4th quarter.
