Coach Zdovc addresses ASVEL matchup 2

Zalgiris Kaunas is preparing for the EuroLeague Round 31 matchup against ASVEL Villeurbanne, which will take place on Wednesday at Zalgirio Arena.

Jure Zdovc, who didn’t coach Zalgiris in the first head-to-head meeting, talked to the media in the eve of the game.

“I watched the first game again now. Even if I didn’t coach then, I know ASVEL quite well because I worked in France last season.”

The Slovenian specialist talked about ASVEL, their strengths, style of play, and what Zalgiris needs to do to counter it.

“ASVEL is a typical French team. They are very athletic with the mix of talent and experienced players. Their players have individual talent which can decide the game. On the paper they aren’t good fit for us, because they are athletic and play really fast with a lot of transition game. We have to be concentrated for all 40 minutes. We also hope to be more fresh this time after marathon of games last week.“
