U18 Zalgiris loses the final game to Real Madrid in ANGT Munich 0

Real Madrid became the first team to book its ticket to the Adidas Next Generation Tournament Finals as it knocked off Zalgiris 84-64 to take first place at the ANGT Munich.

The two-time U18 continental champion will go to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four in Kaunas hoping to add the 2023 crown to the titles in 2015 and 2021.

Hugo Gonzalez led the way with 22 points while Jan Vide collected 17 points and 5 rebounds and Amadou Traore tallied 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Real turned 14 turnovers into 20 points and out-scored Zalgiris 18-12 in second chances points and 12-0 in fastbreak points.

Zalgiris was unable to take advantage of Justas Stonkus scoring 13 points.

Zalgiris were competitive in the first half when they trailed by 11 (36-47), before yielding in the third quarter (12-21).
