Zalgiris Kaunas has secured its place in the final of the King Mindaugas Cup following a 77-67 win against 7Bet-Lietkabelis Panevezys in Siauliai.
It was an even first quarter which finished 17-17 at the close of the first 10 minutes, but Zalgiris leaned on a 21-12 second quarter to put itself in the driving seat at halftime, 38-29.
After the break, it became incredibly tight once again, with Zalgiris winning the third quarter 17-16 to enter the final period 55-45 ahead.
Lietkabelis was unable to chip into the deficit in the fourth quarter, with both teams scoring 22 points each en route to a 77-67 final scoreline.
Lukas Lekavicius led the way for Zalgiris with 16 points, while Rolands Smits had 13 and Ignas Brazdeikis and Edgaras Ulanovas scored 12 apiece with the latter adding 8 rebounds and 9 assists.
