Zalgiris on top in Betsafe-LKL season awards 0

On Sunday, the curtain came down on the 30th anniversary of Betsafe-LKL 2022-2023 season at the National Philharmonic Hall in Vilnius. During the awards ceremony, the gold rings were presented to Zalgiris Kaunas, who regained the championship title, and other individual and team awards were also presented.

The MVP of the final series was Zalgiris player Isaiah Taylor, who had a fantastic performance in the decisive final game. He averaged 17 points, 3.4 assists and 17 efficiency points throughout the best-of-five final series.

The Betsafe-LKL symbolic top five of the season was also revealed. It was chosen by coaches and journalists. Zalgiris’ Laurynas Birutis was selected along with Ahmad Caver, Marcus Foster, Jeffery Garrett and Martynas Echodas.

Zalgiris also won another team award, as it was awarded the Fair Play Award.

The club was recognized for these initiatives: the socialization of young people and the promotion of public citizenship in cooperation with the Lithuanian Armed Forces, the cooperation with the Mamu Unija Charity and Support Fund, the cooperation with the Kaunas Animal Shelter and other social projects.
