Zalgiris gets humbled by Valencia at home 29
Zalgiris Kaunas trailed from start to finish in a 72-87 home loss to Valencia Basket on Friday night, which improved Valencia’s record to 4-1 and saw the hosts drop to 3-2.
Keenan Evans paced Zalgiris with 18 points, Rolands Smits had 11 points plus 6 rebounds, and Kevarrius Hayes scored 10 in the defeat.

Valencia controlled things from the get-go and pulled away with a 0-7 run in the final 62 seconds of the first quarter before extending it into double figures in the second quarter.
Zalgiris’ deficit reached 22 points at halftime (30-52) after Stefan Jovic’s half-court buzzer-beater.
With the help of a sold-out Zalgirio Arena, the hosts tried to make a comeback in the third quarter, but it wasn’t enough.
