Zalgiris Kaunas, which has already started the recruitment process for the upcoming season, has parted ways with three players.
Karolis Lukosiunas, Edmond Sumner and Demetre Rivers will not be wearing the green and white jerseys next season. The players will look for new career stops after their contracts expired.
All three players joined Kaunas during the season – Sumner in November, Lukosiunas in February and Rivers in April.
Sumner averaged 6.9 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in his debut EuroLeague season, playing just over 13 minutes per game.
In the domestic competition, Sumner was more solid with the averages of 10 points, 2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
Rivers, who joined Zalgiris for Betsafe-LKL, averaged 8.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in almost 16 minutes on the court.
Meanwhile, Lukosiunas played only two games and suffered an injury.
Zalgiris Kaunas wishes the players the best of luck in their future careers.
