Zalgiris defeats UBL champions in Kaunas 0

After week of practices Zalgiris men stepped into court on Friday to play a friendly game with guests from Ukraine. The champions of UBL league Krivbasbasket team managed to keep up a close fight, but in the end had to accept the loss. Kaunas’ squad won the match 79:73 (28:26, 20:17, 18:12, 13:18).

Tadas Klimavicius was the leading scorer for the home team with 15 points. Povilas Cukinas added 12, while youngsters Zygimantas Janavicius and Adas Juskevicius scored 9 points each.

Other scorers for Zalgiris were: Travis Watson – 8, Dainius Salenga – 7, Martynas Pocius – 7, Mirza Begic – 6, Marcus Brown – 3, Sarunas Vasiliauskas – 3.

For Krivbasbasket Dmytro Korablov finished the game with the most points – 15.
