Brown: I wouldn‘t mind to retire here 0
Marcus Brown is 35 years old but retirement is the last thing on his mind. After leading Zalgiris Kaunas to victory over CSKA Moscow on Sunday, Brown was announced to sign a contract extension with Kaunas club until the summer of 2011.
However, he feels he can play beyond that date.
“Contract is for one more year but I feel and I know that I can play at least two more years. Or a year after my deal expires”, Brown told reporters on Tuesday.
Asked if he would retire in Kaunas, Brown wasn’t concrete. “I don’t know. But I wouldn‘t mind to retire here”.
Brown played in Zalgiris in 2007-2008 but was loaned to Maccabi Tel Aviv last season. He came back strong, averaging 13,3 points in Euroleague while shooting 45 percent from distance this season.
“Team trusts in my health and my longevity so I‘ll be here for another season. Everything is fine I‘m very excited I‘ll be here at least another year. I‘ll try to represent this club as best as I can”, promised Brown.
