Sabonis picked for FIBA Hall of Fame 0
Arguably the greatest Lithuanian basketball player of all times Arvydas Sabonis is going into the FIBA Hall of Fame. The Lithuanian star will be inducted September 12 in Istanbul. A presentation is planned for halftime of the World Championship game.
Also going into the International Basketball Federation hall are Cheryl Miller, Vlade Divac, Oscar Schmidt and others.
“The 2010 class has stardom, character and countless merits for the promotion of our game,” FIBA President Bob Elphinston said. “The inductees were and still are brilliant on and off the court.”
