Zalgiris dismantles Sakalai for 15 straight win 0
Another impressive victory in the Lithuanian League (LKL) saw the current leaders move to 15-0 after dismantling the visiting Sakalai side 95-48 (26-14, 24-11, 17-15, 28-8) in Kaunas on Sunday.
Martynas Pocius top-scored for the Kaunas side with 16 points but had to leave the court early after injuring his shoulder. DeJuan Collins continued a good stretch of games collecting 15 points and 7 assists, while Tomas Delininkaitis had 14 and Arturas Milaknis added 12 for the home team.
The team’s rookie Trent Plaisted made his debut in a green jersey in this game as well, starting the game for Zalgiris. The American big man finished the match with 8 points and 4 rebounds.
Not a single Sakalai player managed to get into double-digits, as the team was led by Virginijus Sirvydis, who finished with 9 points as Rolandas Matulis and Evaldas Baniulis added 7 point each.
