Martynas Pocius will not be able to help Zalgiris in the Lithuanian League (LKL) finals, which begin on Thursday. It has been announced that the season is over for the 25-year-old Pocius, who was one of the leading scorers of the club.
Apparently, it is a back injury that is bothering the Zalgiris guard. It’s very possible that Pocius will even need a surgery. However, it will only be clear after more thorough tests are completed.
Pocius had a very good season both in the LKL, where he was averaging 10.7 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists, and in the Euroleague, where the numbers were even slightly better – 10.9 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
