Zalgiris cheerleaders win EFESTA Dance Challenge and will go to Final Four in Milan! 0
Zalgiris Kaunas cheerleaders triumphed in Euroleague‘s dance contest EFESTA Dance Challenge. Kaunas’ girls defeated Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar team in the final round and won the grand prize – a trip to Milan.
Euroleague Final Four will be held in the Italian fashion capital on May 16-18. Zalgiris dancers will be performing during this competition. Lithuanian girls broke three stages of EFESTA Dance Challenge. They have won all of them.
“We are very excited about this victory, which would not have been achieved without the amazing activity of Zalgiris fans. We want to tell them big THANK YOU, – said the captain of Zalgiris cheerleaders Diana Gandrime. – I am pleased that the fans appreciated our efforts. Each dance is our gift to them.”
Zalgiris Kaunas dancers do not have time to rest . Yesterday they were entertaining Zalgiris arena crowd during the game of Budivelnik Kiev and Crvena Zvezda Belgrade. Tomorrow they will dance during Zalgiris and Lokomotiv Kuban Krasnodar game time-outs.
“Dancing in Zalgiris arena is the greatest pleasure. Here we develop ourselves and with the support of our amazing fans we will be able to demonstrate our program to the Euroleague fans. As we have already danced during the Final Four in Istanbul, we know what the show itself should be and what are the hopes of the Euroleague‘s audience”- said Gandrime.
Along with Lithuanians the trip to Milan was achieved by CSKA Moscow’s dance group, which had beaten Neptunas Klaipeda cheerleaders in another semi-final. Russians has collected 52.93 percent of votes. Kaunas girls defeated Lokomotiv Kuban‘s team by collecting the 54.46 percent of fans votes.
Zalgiris cheerleaders had won the adequate competition in 2011-2012 season. They went to the Euroleague Final Four in Istanbul, where Olympiakos Piraeus players were crowned as champions.
