Zalgiris re-signs forward Ulanovas 2
Zalgiris Kaunas has reached a new agreement with Edgaras Ulanovas to extend his contract with the 2+1 formula.
Ulanovas (1.97 meters, 24 years old) comes off a solid Turkish Airlines Euroleague season with Zalgiris, averaging 6.3 points on 87.5% free throw shooting, 4.5 rebounds and 2 assists in 24 games, starting them all.
Ulanovas played for several Lithuanian clubs before joining Zalgiris in 2014. He helped Zalgiris win the Lithuanian double – league and cup titles – last season.
“He is improving, and in basketball, it is very important not to be afraid of making mistakes,” head coach Sarunas Jasikevicius said. “Ulanovas is precisely a player who play aggressive, with no fear, player with character. Playing in the Euroleague was a huge lesson for him this season.”
