Lietkabelis strikes back in Lithuanian finals 13
Lietkabelis Panevezys tied the Lithuanian League best-of-seven final series to 1-1 after rallying late and edging Zalgiris Kaunas 86:83 on home floor on Wednesday.
The hosts did not have a single lead until Lorenzo Williams hit his first triple with 1:40 to go in the fourth quarter to make it 76:73. Williams hit his second triple 65 second later, to make it 79:76, and Lietkabelis never relinquished the lead again.
Ben Madgen netted 18 points to lead the hosts. Mindaugas Lukauskis scored 16, while Zygimantas Janavicius scored 13 with 6 assists.
For Zalgiris, Paulius Jankunas was unstoppable in the first half scoring 20 points, but finished with 24 for the game. Edgaras Ulanovas finished with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists, while Kevin Pangos had 13 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds in defeat.
