Zalgiris thinks long-term with big man Geben 1

Zalgiris Kaunas invested in its future with the addition of big man Martinas Geben, who signed a multi-year deal.

Geben (2.08 meters, 23 years old) spent the last four seasons playing college basketball at the University of Notre Dame. Last season, he started all 36 games for the Fighting Irish and averaged 11.1 points, 8 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

He has represented Lithuania in various youth categories and won the bronze medal at the U19 World Championship in 2013.

“Martin has matured in every way in the Unites States, both as a person and as a basketball player,” said Zalgiris sports director Robertas Javtokas. “Our priority was and will be the integration of young Lithuanians into the team, and now it will depend on the work of Martinas as to how his career will develop.”
