Jasikevicius: “Panathinaikos picked up on the aggresion lately” 0
Zalgiris is set to face off against Panathinaikos on Friday, as the two green-and-white sides play their 19th game of the 2018-2019 EuroLeague season.
Under the guidance of new head coach Rick Pitino, the Greek giants are ready to bounce back after the tough overtime loss against Zalgiris in the two sides’ first bout.
Zalgiris’ opponents have changed quite a few faces throughout the roster and it will be a whole new beast to slay for Sarunas Jasikevicius. As Zalgiris lost Leo Westermann and Antanas Kavaliauskas to injury, Panathinaikos have reinforced their troops with the additions of former NBA players Sean Kilpatrick and Adreian Payne.
Sarunas Jasikevicius gave his insight on the team Zalgiris is about to face on Friday evening:
“Panathinaikos has changed. They’ve been playing more aggressively, trying to attack the ball more, they’ve implemented pressing elements into their game. It seems to me that they’ve made their play a little bit more simple and picked up on the aggression.”
