Zalgiris nominated for a prestigious ticketing award 1
The prestigious TheTicketingBusiness awards have named Zalgiris Kaunas basketball cub in two of its categories, paying recognition to the #ZalgirisVirgin project and Zalgiris Director Paulius Motiejunas, who were shortlisted for the international ticketing business awards.
Among the nominees are sports, music, cinema and other organizations and their personnel, and Zalgiris‘ name shines brightly among the top names of the entertainment industry.
The #ZalgirisVirgin project was chosen among five other nominees as the best ticket sales campaign, competing against companies from Australia, Great Britain and the United States of America.
The project aims to encourage fans to visit Zalgirio Arena for their first in-person Zalgiris experience. Gifts and extra attention await all participants, as Lithuanian celebrities, former and current Zalgiris stars give strength to the project, sharing their own stories of losing their Zalgiris virginity.
Meanwhile, Zalgiris Director Paulius Motiejunas was among the six candidates in the Executive of the Year nomination. He was nominated for the leadership, pioneering and visionary that has moved the ticketing sector to new heights.
Motiejunas will face competition from British, Brazilian and American executives, with Milwaukee Bucks Senior Director of Ticketing Jonathan Lack also on the list.
TheTicketingBusiness awards aim to recognize the best examples of increasing ticket sales, introduce newest technologies and improve the user experience. The winners of each category will be named in Manchester on the 9-10th of April.
