#TimeOutZalgiris roams the backstage of Zalgiris win 0
Thursday evening brought the season’s biggest EuroLeague win to Zalgirio Arena, as the green-and-whites delighted the crowd with a 34-point win against Herbalife Gran Canaria. Zalgiris TV captured the impressive victory over the Spaniards while #TimeOutZalgiris roamed the backstage of the event.
Dalia Belickaite had a talk with one of Lithuania’s top motorcyclists Arunas Gelazninkas, who participated in the Dakar race at the start of the year.
“I remember my first time in the Kaunas Sports Hall. I was probably like five years old when my dad brought me here for the first time. We didn’t even have individual seats back then, just long benches. I remember that I fell asleep during the first quarter and woke up for the fourth. I was probably too young. But I’ve supported Zalgiris ever since.”
Although the island of Las Palmas is one of the farthest destinations, a group of fans had traveled to Lithuania to support their team.
“Since this is the first time our team plays in the EuroLeague, we wanted to go to an away game. We support Zalgiris as well in the EuroLeague, so it’s perfect. We know the team, we know Sarunas Jasikevicius. Kevin Pangos played for Gran Canaria a while ago. I’m enjoying it.”
Dalia Belickaite continued with her usual questionnaire, this time asking the ladies in the arena for their answers. Sarunas Jasikevicius, Marius Grigonis and Paulius Jankunas were said to be the most romantic ones, while Ulanovas was quoted as supposedly the best chef.
