#TimeOutZalgiris. Bertomeu’s promises and the world’s strongest man 1
We had quite the list of celebrities in the stands during the EuroLeague bout against Bayern, and #TimeOutZalgiris host Dalia Belickaite made sure they would not leave the arena without green-and-white gear.
She bumped into dancer and social media star Naglis Bierancas, who was experiencing his very first EuroLeague game.
“It’s my first time overall, so I’m really excited. Ever since the morning, I’ve been thinking about it. I really like it so far, watching a game in person is so much different than sitting by the TV. The game is going on and you can watch Jasikevicius separately. It’s a whole new world there. Very interesting.”
Another first-timer was strongman competition legend Zydrunas Savickas, who also shared his first experiences in the arena.
“It’s really fun. Unlike other sports, I haven’t watched a basketball game in an arena this big. I’m happy the team is doing well. The atmosphere is great, the show is terrific. I’d recommend everyone to get off their TVs and visit the arena for once.”
Dalia also talked to the head of the EuroLeague, Jordi Bertomeu. The Euroleague Basketball President and CEO answered #TimeOutZalgiris the never-ending question: if there’s going to be a Final Four here in Kaunas.
“Of course, there is a chance, because Zalgirio Arena is one of the best, if not the best arena in Europe. The point has always been infrastructure. EuroLeague Final Fours are huge events and the needs for organizations are more demanding. I hope with time we will manage to solve these problems.”
