Jokubaitis shortlisted for the EuroLeague Rising Star award 0

Zalgiris’ 18-year-old starlet Rokas Jokubaitis is making headlines, as he was shortlisted for EuroLeague’s Rising Star award.

The guard from Mazeikiai has played 10 games in the EuroLeague regular season, averaging 2.9 points and 0.7 assists per game in 6 minutes of action.

Buducnost’s Georgian giant Goga Bitadze and Maccabi’s Yovel Zoosman are considered front-runners for the award this year, while previous winners include European basketball stars such as Luka Doncic, Alex Abrines, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Kostas Papanikolaou and Nikola Mirotic.
