Fan zone will be open before Game 3 of the Finals 1
With a single step to the Betsafe-LKL trophy remaining, Zalgiris will take it upon themselves to finalize a possible sweep in their home court, Zalgirio Arena, on Saturday.
After a 79-64 win in Kaunas in Game 1 and an 85-67 follow-up victory in Vilnius, the green-and-whites have taken a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-five series. With a chance to close out the series with a sweep, the game on Saturday might be the last chance to see Zalgiris in action this season.
A fan zone will be traditionally hosted on the footsteps of Zalgirio Arena and fans are invited to participate starting at 16:00. Tip-off is set for 17:20.
A variety of fun activities will await basketball fans, as they will be encourage to participate in two basketball shoot-outs, get free temporary tattoos and pass the time playing table football, dartball or pétanque.
The fun doesn’t stop upon entering the arena. Each participant will receive glow-in-the-dark sticks which will help create an incredible atmosphere when the lights go out.
During the halftime break, fans will get the chance to spectate the trampoline dunk contest final and the award ceremony of the Zalgiris basketball school teams that took gold in the MKL.
The two teams that took home the trophies are the Zalgiris U14 boys, coached by Remigijus Bradauskas, and the U18 girls, coached by Sandra Cizauskiene.
