Ball Fondlers: Nigel Hayes and Thomas Walkup start their own TV show 0
It didn’t take long for Nigel Hayes to start speaking Lithuanian, as he and second-year guard Thomas Walkup introduced Zalgiris TV’s latest TV series Ball Fondlers.
In the first episode of Ball Fondlers, the dynamic duo dug deep into a gallery of vintage photos and rated their teammates’ and coaches’ look back in the day.
Nigel Hayes couldn’t contain himself seeing team captain Paulius Jankunas with Lithuania’s president Dalia Grybauskaite.
“Is this Mr. Jankunas with the Queen of Lithuania?”
“Hello president Dalia, my name is Nigel. It’s nice to meet you.” – he continued in Lithuanian.
A photo that really caught their attention, was of Arvydas Sabonis and Sarunas Jasikevicius, taken a whole decade ago, when Saras was still playing his heart out.
“Oh wow! I mean… Those are two legends, so the swag will always be. I’ve never seen these two guys in person with that sort of hair.”
Lukas Lekavicius’ photo in a hairdo from back in the 2014-2015 season left quite an impression on the two – they figured Thomas should take example and go with the mohawk himself.
“If this video gets 10 thousand retweets, Tom will go mohawk this year. You heard it first here. 10 thousand – mohawk.” – Hayes set the terms.
Thomas didn’t stutter, accepting the challenge.
