#TimeOutZalgiris talks to President Nauseda 1

Zalgiris TV comes out with yet another episode of #TimeOutZalgiris, as Dalia Belickaite talked to some honorable guests during the victory over Khimki Moscow Region.

You could not miss the President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda in the stands in the near-packed Zalgirio Arena, as him and his wife were cheering on the team. The President noted that it’s been tough finding the way to the arena this season, so he jumped on the chance to see the team in action when opportunity came.

“It’s not been easy this year. Whenever there’s a game at home, I got some European leaders meeting, all kinds of things that do not let me focus on a Zalgiris game. Today I managed to, and despite all the viruses, I’m very happy to be here. I’ve been a fan from back in the day when you weren’t even born. Perhaps your mother was…”

Nauseda noted that he keeps active with his presidential team and goes out to shoot the orange ball, sometimes even twice a week. When asked which Zalgiris players he’d pick to be on his team, he didn’t stutter.

“If we’re picking according to how they’re playing today, it’d easily be Lekavicius at number one. We’d have LeDay at center. I like all of them, to be honest. There’s plenty of choices there.”

For the second EuroLeague game in a row, a new voice was there turning up the arena. Instead of long-time announcer Andrius Ziurauskas, fans saw actor and singer Vidas Bareikis.

“I really like it! Let that Ziurauskas guy get married every month, let him go on vacation, I’m always ready. I had the honor to do it twice, and the first game I did have some nerves running. I’d need a third one, and it’d be perfect.”
